• Boe Leslie - Head Coach - 8 years as a professional player in Europe, former Division 1 College player at Union College, 20 years working full time in hockey development

• Justin Lee - former Division 1 College Player at the University of Denver, currently playing professionally in Slovakia, also played in the AHL and ECHL

• Grady Hobbs(Tentative) - former Division 1 College Player at Rochester Institute of Technology, currently playing professionally in Germany

We are very excited to be on our way to Waskada this summer! Our Northern Roots Hockey School 2026 will have a 1.5 hour on ice session daily. Each session will include power skating, goalie specific training, puck skills, battles, small area games and a scrimmage.

​

Our Head Coach for the week Boe Leslie grew up in Carman, Manitoba. Following his years with the Portage Terriers, he played Division 1 at Union College of the NCAA and then went on to 8 years playing professionally in Europe. He has been working full time in hockey development for 20 years.

 

After 4 great years of the Morden Hockey School, Northern Roots Hockey is expanding in Manitoba! We are thrilled to be coming to Waskada this summer!
