• Frank Effinger - Head Coach -19 years as an NHL Scout for the New York Rangers, Buffalo Sabres, Minnesota Wild, San Jose Sharks including 8 years as the Director of Pro Scouting Phoenix Coyotes, former Head Coach Iona College. Frank has years of running his own hockey camps and has worked as the physical education instructor and head varsity hockey and lacrosse teams at Rye Country Day School.

We are thrilled to be coming back to New York city after a 1 year hiatus to the pandemic!

 

Though our format will be different this year, we are truly excited to be coming back for our Northern Roots Queens Hockey School 2021. Each day will be an ON ICE session only. The session consists of power skating, goalie specific training, skill development and small area games and a full ice scrimmage. 

 

We have all players split by both age and skill level into on ice groups. We typically split up into groups of approximately 6 players giving players much more personalized attention from our coaches.

T-shirt and jersey are included.

We will follow the guidelines and restrictions of both the rink and the state and will keep this page updated.

Again, due to the pandemic and unlike in the past, players must arrange their own transportation to and from the rink. Players and coaches will meet at the City Ice Pavilion for the on ice session.
